Day 1, Warsaw

Meeting with licensed guide assistant. Transfer to hotel. Check-in, dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 2, Warsaw - Niepokalanów

Buffet breakfast. Sightseeing of Warsaw - the mixture of the past and contemporaneity – Old Town (UNESCO - List) and New Town with many churches and St. John’s Cathedral, Royal Route, Church of the Holy Cross and The Ghetto Memorial – history still alive in people memory. In the afternoon away Warsaw during half day excursion to Niepokalanów a famous monastery and museum founded by St. Maximilian Kolbe. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3, Warsaw - Częstochowa

Buffet breakfast and departure for Częstochowa – the most renowned pilgrimage centre in Poland. The highlight of the city is the monastery surrounded by bastions which was built on Jasna Góra. Visitors come here for guided tours of the Monastery Church (magnificent Baroque interior), the Knight’s Hall (with paintings illustrating the history of the monastery), the Treasury (with precious votive gifts from kings and national heroes) and the Chapel of the Birth of Mary – here the picture of the Black Madonna is kept. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Częstochowa.

Day 4, Częstochowa - Cracow

Breakfast and travel to Cracow. On the way Oświęcim, where Auschwitz is located. Visit to the Auschwitz - Birkenau Museum, the former Nazi extermination camp, including the cell of Father Maximilian Kolbe. In 1979 the entire museum complex, a warning for future generations, was added to the UNESCO list. Transfer to Cracow. Cracow is such a specific place, that everybody should visit the city. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 5, Cracow

Breakfast and Sightseeing in Cracow (UNESCO - List), known as the Florence of the North and the centre of arts. It was also referred to as the Second Rome with its 140 churches (e.g. St. Mary’s church, Church of the Holy Cross, St. Anne’s Church, the Dominican Church and as New Athens due to its Jagiellonian University (1364), the second oldest in Central Europe. Until the 17th century it was the capital of Poland. Visit to St. Mary’s Basilica with famous Wit Stwosz Altar, to Wawel Hill with The Coronation Cathedral. The Wawel Royal Castle was built in the 14th century. Optionally possible a guided tour of the Royal Castle including the Ambassador’s Hall, the Senator’s Hall (kings held audiences here) and the Royal Chambers as well as the Crown Treasury with the famous Szczerbiec, the sword of Polish kings.
Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 6, Łagiewniki - Wadowice - Kalwaria Zebrzydowska

Breakfast and full day excursion to Łagiewniki, Wadowice and Kalwaria Zebrzydowska. Visit to the convent of the Order of Sisters of Our Lady of Charity in Łagiewniki. Then Wadowice - the hometown of John Paul II. Karol Wojtyla, from 16th October 1978 the Pope John Paul II, was born here on 18th May 1920. His house, located in Koscielna Street, is now a museum. In addition Kalwaria Zebrzydowska. The sanctuary and Calvary of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska were founded in the 17th century. The sanctuary and pilgrimage park were added to the UNESCO list in 1999.
Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 7

Buffet breakfast. Departure.
